~ Joseph Smania ~

Joseph was born November 5, 1926 in Castello di Godego, Italy, and was the son of Edovilio Smania and Gemma Caon. He married Maria Elizabeth Diaz in Rosario, Argentina in 1953. Studied at Italy's 'Scuola di Arte e Mestieri', where he mastered in Fine Arts and Furniture Design Construction.
He immigrated to the United States with his family after living in Italy, Argentina and Switzerland; they settled in the Salt Lake City area, where he started his own furniture manufacturing company, which he had until he retired.
His hobbies included music, and he enjoyed playing the classical accordion in his free time. He was also passionate about restoring antique cars and making violins, but above all else, he was dedicated to being there for his family, friends, and neighbors.
